[Review] City of Ashes – Cassandra Clare

”As long as there was coffee in the world, how bad could things be?”

Continuing our favorite series,  It’s time to kill a bit of a lack that makes Jace, Simon and Magnus.

Sinopsys- Clary Fray just wishes that her life would go back to normal. But what’s normal when you’re a demon-slaying Shadowhunter, your mother is in a magically induced coma, and you can suddenly see Downworlders like werewolves, vampires, and faeries? If Clary left the world of the Shadowhunters behind, it would mean more time with her best friend, Simon, who’s becoming more than a friend. But the Shadowhunting world isn’t ready to let her go — especially her handsome, infuriating, newfound brother, Jace. And Clary’s only chance to help her mother is to track down rogue Shadowhunter Valentine, who is probably insane, certainly evil — and also her father.
To complicate matters, someone in New York City is murdering Downworlder children. Is Valentine behind the killings — and if he is, what is he trying to do? When the second of the Mortal Instruments, the Soul-Sword, is stolen, the terrifying Inquisitor arrives to investigate and zooms right in on Jace. How can Clary stop Valentine if Jace is willing to betray everything he believes in to help their father?
In this breathtaking sequel to City of Bones, Cassandra Clare lures her readers back into the dark grip of New York City’s Downworld, where love is never safe and power becomes the deadliest temptation.

Without doubt this is the beginning of our dark history, Cassie Clare brings city of bones from a simple plot that involves much more than we can imagine.to start all our favorite characters are in a growth phase and incredible discoveries, not only about himself as also his own family.

“I don’t want to be a man,” said Jace. “I want to be an angst-ridden teenager who can’t confront his own inner demons and takes it out verbally on other people instead.”
“Well,” said Luke, “you’re doing a fantastic job.”

Despite of the Darker side we know another part of being a Shadowhunter, why wanting or not the second deadly instrument was stolen, and the person who everyone thought was dead this more vivid and powerful than before. And remembering the end of the first book with the awkward situation between the strange relationship between Clary and Jace.we have a new script for these events alternating visions of the characters something that I really liked.and all new events lead to the Seelie Court, the queen of the fairies. completamnete asking something out of context

“Well, I’m not kissing the mundane,” said Jace. “I’d rather stay down here and rot.”
“Forever?” said Simon. “Forever’s an awfully long time.”
Jace raised his eyebrows. “I knew it,” he said. “You want to kiss me, don’t you?”

Undoubtedly without removing salient features of the characters, We have big changes since the real intentions of Valentine and the interaction between new characters, and discoveries that will bring major changes to the story, especially with our  favorite mundane!

“Clary- “How to Come Out to Your Parents,” she read out loud. “LUKE. Don’t be ridiculous. Simon’s not gay…”

I’ll be honest with the approaching launch of the first film, I’m still not happy with the choice of characters (except Simon), whos so cute !! I have not decided if I’ll watch and spoil Teho the images in my mind or not. Well ultimately if you liked the first, will surely surrender to the charms of this new phase and will be more than curious to the next (and in my opinion, the final book). To complete the sections that have chosen music and remember the experiences of Valentine with their own children ” Now I Know That You are nearer than heaven”
