[Review] Destroy me – Tahereh Maffi

  “This girl is destroying me.”

I could not post a review of Unravel me before posting some of Warner’s vision. And I have to Warn you.. forget anything you thinks about him, because this book is more developer than other thing.

Sinopsys – Perfect for the fans of Shatter Me who are desperately awaiting the release of Unravel Me, this novella-length digital original will bridge the gap between these two novels from the perspective of the villain we all love to hate, Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.
In Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me, Juliette escaped from The Reestablishment by seducing Warner—and then putting a bullet in his shoulder. But as she’ll learn in Destroy Me, Warner is not that easy to get rid of. . .Back at the base and recovering from his near-fatal wound, Warner must do everything in his power to keep his soldiers in check and suppress any mention of a rebellion in the sector. Still as obsessed with Juliette as ever, his first priority is to find her, bring her back, and dispose of Adam and Kenji, the two traitors who helped her escape. But when Warner’s father, The Supreme Commander of The Reestablishment, arrives to correct his son’s mistakes, it’s clear that he has much different plans for Juliette. Plans Warner simply cannot allow. Set after Shatter Me and before its forthcoming sequel, Unravel Me,Destroy Me is a novella told from the perspective of Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45.

I am simply in love, but how not to fall by Warner? Since he appeared as a stoic soldier, knew I should have something good there .. and that he also hid something amazing…

“- ‘You want to know my name.
– Do not think it was a secret.
He approaches. His lips twitch. Lowers His eyes, his lips moving in tense breath. He slips a gloved finger in my face by apple.
– I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours – whispers very close to my neck.
He is not looking me in the eyes.
– You already know my name.
– You’re right. Isso.O I should rephrase what I meant is that I will tell you my name if you show me yours. “
 Shater me p. 72

Created a completely different way, in this book is what we think of the other side of transformation. We can see a bit of what it’s like in the center of the reestablishment in the POV of Warner.

“Torture is not torture when there’s any hope of relief.”

After the conflicting events in late Shater me. In Destroy me we have what really happens with Warner, including the situation with the sector 45 with the arrival of the supreme commander of reestablishmentEspecially the  precarious and almost nonexistent relationship between  he and his father

“I’ve come to believe that the most dangerous man in the world is the one who feels no remorse. The one who never apologizes and therefore seeks no forgiveness. Because in the end it is our emotions that make us week, not our actions.”

See through Warner reveals much of what happens to the escape of Juliet, even elem keeping all possible barriers:

“My mind is a warehouse of carefully organized human emotions.
I lock away the things that do not serve me.”

It breaks before finding the little notebook of notes .. where he will discover more about themselves own …. and from there you should take more drastic decisions.

If you liked the first one .. ‘ll love this little book, however full of surprises. And find in love with Warner even more.

Okay maybe the song for this one is a little predictable but  when I heard this liryc :

”You only have to look behind you
At who’s underlined you
Destroy everything you touch today
Destroy me this way”     I have 100%  sure this is the song this would be the song that would always remember the warner Julliet …  if you do not know here and we have to Ladytron Destroy Everything you touch …

Seya in the next book !!!
