[Review] If you Were mine – Sullivans #5 – Bella Andre

Zach in the area… Meet the sexy mechanic.

Sinopsys – The last thing Zach Sullivan wants is to take care of his brother’s new puppy for two weeks. Until he meets the dog trainer, that is. Heather is bright, beautiful, and he can’t stop thinking about her. Unfortunately, she just might be the only woman on earth who wants nothing to do with him.
Heather Linsey can’t believe she’s stuck working with one of the city’s top dogs, auto-shop mogul Zach Sullivan. Especially when his focus is clear from the start—not only to learn how to deal with his temporary puppy…but also to make her his. Having sworn off love at seventeen when she realized it was nothing more than a pack of lies, Heather has stuck to her vow never to fall for a charming man. The last thing she expects is for     Zach to be the one to tempt her into believing again.
But as Heather’s determination to push Zach away only fuels his determination to get closer—and the sensual and emotional connection between them grows more and more undeniable—can two people who’ve both sworn off love find forever in each other’s arms?

Zach Sullivan is an automotive genius who restores vintage cars, races other cars, and owns a lucrative chain of auto repair shops. Zach is a middle child in the large and prolific Sullivan family .

Trust me, you were at the end of my list for someone to watch the puppy while we’re away on vacation, but Summer insisted you needed to have Cuddles.”“Look,” Gabe said, “Summer is convinced you’re the perfect person to keep the puppy. For some reason none of us can figure out, she thinks you can do no wrong. Don’t disappoint her, Zach.
 If you Were mine.p.8.
…And so our story starts from a mechanic, and a little doggy when Zack’s brother asks him to keep his puppy while his family is on vacation he can’t bring himself to say no – even though a puppy does not fit into his hectic life as the owner of multiple car repair shops and busy bachelor. After just a few hours with “Cuddles”, the mischievous puppy, he is ready to pull his hair out.
”He had a bad feeling about this whole thing, sensing how easily fourteen days could turn into way longer than that if he wasn’t careful.”
                                                                                                                          If you Were mine.p.15.

However, his life get’s even more complicated when a little old lady customer takes pity on him and sends Heather, a dog trainer, to him hoping she will take him on as a client and help train the little crazed puppy.

“I know you’re interested in my dog training services,”she told him, “but I’m afraid—” “You asked Agnes Mackelroy to call me about some special training sessions.”She paused before asking, “Didn’t you?”
He shook his head.“I always knew I loved that woman for more than just herkiller Aston Martin collection.”
 If you Were mine.p.18.

For the Dog trainer Heather Linsey distrusts men because her father repeatedly cheated on her mother which caused the teenage Heather to cut herself. Love is a lie.but together we will discover much more than the love for puppies.

“You taught me to trust. To have faith and hope. How to laugh again.”
                                                     If you Were mine.p.129.

Song of the playlist for the book definitely is the cure –Why Can’t I Be You?

I’ll run around in circles

‘Til I run out of breath

I’ll eat you all up

Or I’ll just hug you to death

You’re so wonderful!
Too good to be true!
You make me
Make me hungry for you
